Day 1: Siliguri/Njp/Bagdogra to Gangtok (Approximately 4-5 hours drive)
Your journey begins from Siliguri, heading towards Gangtok, the capital of Sikkim. En route, you’ll witness lush green tea gardens, serene rivers, and winding roads. Stop at Sevoke to admire the famous Coronation Bridge, set against the backdrop of the River Teesta. As you ascend, the cool mountain breeze welcomes you. Upon reaching Gangtok, check into your hotel, rest, and enjoy the evening exploring the lively MG Marg, the city’s vibrant promenade lined with cafes, shops, and colorful lights.
Day 2: Gangtok Local Sightseeing
Spend the day exploring the best of Gangtok :
- Tashi Viewpoint: Start your morning with panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga range and lush valleys.
- Ganesh Tok & Hanuman Tok: These serene temples offer spiritual vibes and spectacular vistas of Gangtok town.
- Enchey Monastery: A tranquil 200-year-old monastery that exudes spirituality.
- Do Drul Chorten Stupa: One of the most significant stupas in Sikkim, surrounded by prayer wheels.
- Banjhakri Falls: Enjoy the beauty of this gushing waterfall nestled amid forests.

In the evening, take a leisurely stroll along MG Marg to soak in Gangtok’s local culture.
Day 3: Tsomgo Lake, Baba Mandir, and Nathula Pass
Begin your day early to visit:
- Tsomgo Lake (Changu Lake): Located at an altitude of 12,400 ft, this glacial lake is surrounded by snow-clad mountains. The sight of its crystal-clear waters reflecting the sky is mesmerizing. Don’t forget to take a yak ride!
- Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir: A shrine dedicated to an Indian army soldier believed to protect the area. It’s a place of deep reverence for locals and soldiers.
- Nathula Pass (optional): This Indo-China border pass at 14,140 ft is a surreal experience. Witness the snow-covered landscape, and you might even spot the Chinese soldiers on the other side. (Note: Nathula requires a special permit, so ensure it’s arranged in advance.)
Return to Gangtok by evening and relax after an adventurous day.
Day 4: Gangtok to Lachen (Approximately 6-7 hours drive)
Start early for Lachen, a quaint village in North Sikkim located at 8,500 ft. The journey offers breathtaking views of waterfalls, rivers, and valleys. En route, stop at:
Seven Sisters Waterfall: A stunning waterfall cascading in seven stages.
Naga Waterfalls: Another picturesque spot to refresh your senses.
Chungthang: A scenic hamlet where the Teesta and Lachung rivers meet.
Upon reaching Lachen, settle into your homestay and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Day 5: Lachen to Gurudongmar Lake and Lachung
- Gurudongmar Lake: Begin early for this iconic high-altitude lake at 17,800 ft, surrounded by barren yet majestic landscapes. It’s one of the highest lakes in the world and holds religious significance for Buddhists, Hindus, and Sikhs. The lake remains partially frozen in winter, adding to its surreal beauty.
- Return to Lachen for lunch and then drive to Lachung (8,600 ft), another charming village known for its scenic beauty.

Day 6: Lachung to Yumthang Valley, Zero Point, and back to Gangtok
- Yumthang Valley (Valley of Flowers): A paradise at 11,800 ft, adorned with colorful alpine flowers in summer and a blanket of snow in winter. Visit the famous hot springs known for their medicinal properties.

Day 7: Gangtok to Silliguri/NJP/Bagdogra (Approximately 4-5 hours drive)
